“Basically, it’s a great way to get rid of excess inventory in a way that makes it fun and keeps with the process of recycling,” said Autumn Newell, Tuff Soul’s owner. “After you get snowed in, the best thing you can do is dig yourself out. We’re offering hot cocoa for the digout, so you can think of the clothing as a bonus.”
Tuff Soul offers a wide variety of merchandise and services, and its inventory is made up of a combination of new and used goods, as well as our one-of-a-kind reconstructed collection, which is made at the shop.
“There is plenty of clothing that is perfectly good, and out of disregard it winds up in the trash,” Newell said. “That process is totally a waste to say the least. We’ve made recycling our business, so we act as a retail outlet that hopes to encourage and inspire people to recycle in different ways. Through re-purposing, through redesigning, and through recycling.”
