On Thursday, Mar 11, The Ithaca Post hosted the first of many happenings to be known as The Post Social Club. We hope these events will allow community members get an intimate look into a featured artist and their work.

Our first Post Social Club was at WildFire, and it brought together dessert from Madeline’s, coffee from The Shop, centerpieces by the Full Plate Collective, and the musicians Emily Arin and Marissa Nadler.

Unfortunately we had to cap the first one at 35 people, but we’re planning the next one and hope to be able to welcome three times that amount (This was a last minute event and we didn’t want to overwhelm our gracious hosts WildFire.)

Our aim is that in the future, we will bring together songwriters and listeners, painters and art lovers, restaurateurs and foodies- all with the hope of creating an environment of sharing amongst art lovers in a setting as welcoming as your kitchen.

On behalf of skipster, I want to thank the Ithaca Post for all the support and effort that went into and was shown last night. In addition, thank you to everyone that stuck around for the show, and thanks to those you came solely to see Marissa and Emily. It was a major success, and truly shows what a wonderful community we live in. I hope this was a beautiful beginning to what becomes habitual!

I had a blast. It was nice to finally match names to the faces I see on a weekly basis. I look forward to future gatherings. Thanks again Luke, the Angry Mom entourage had a great time.
